I'm a fan of a Herblore Guild including Cauldrons for keeping potions although I would
heavily disagree regarding the location due Taverly being right there and also my
headcanon insisting that the Slayer Guild exists within Menaphos.
Regarding the Slayer Guild, I actually workshopped a concept for it in which its Guild
Master acts as an Slayer Master that is competent of giving out Slayer tasks that
require the killing of distinct Boss Monsters within the Slayer Guild. The requirements
for accessing the Slayer Guild naturally would be 85 Slayer as well as the completion
of GM Quest for accessing Menaphos.
Also, I have an interesting idea regarding an Agility Guild that is established through
a Master Level Quest in a specific area of the game. I'm working on posting on the sub
at some point.
What do you think about revival of old guilds (Cooking Crafting, Mining fishing, etc.)?
I would also suggest that they be overhauled. Think about:
Cooking: Minigame where you serve as a cook or waiter in an establishment that could
include guests from various popular characters from Runescape and with dialogue that is
clearly managed with the help of Mod Ash. It's a very intensive, communication-based
minigame where players earn Cooking Experience as well as GP (A cook would get higher
Experience compared to a Waiter but less GP as Waiters may receive tips).
Crafting: I believe there should be a little some re-designing of the Crafting Guild as
it is somewhat outdated. It would allow access to Chromatic Dragons, Gem Rocks and a
real furnace, Flax, and a Crafting Table. It would also include numerous unlocks gained
from completing Tasks related to Crafting (In this case, a reference to idea for the
idea of a Skilling Achievement Journal)
Mining: I'm not certain about this one , however the idea of a tie-in to Motherload
Mines or the Giant Mole is logical, but I'm not sure how it would look like in the real
world.
Fishing: I would love to have a Giant Fish as a boss here. It's dangerous, but not as
Tempeross and could result in death if something happens. I do think a Catfish performs
well, and it has caused problems on the shores of Lake Ontario which results in
earthquakes, floods and storms. It's an excellent scenario to prepare for the fight. It
is a great way to use Fishing to draw the Boss into range for taking on it. It will
probably attract a higher to attract attention than the Tempeross, or Wintertodt.
Additionally, it could open more fish to have to use as Pet Fish or even result in an
Aquarium Room within your POH.
