The egg bar shoe includes a significantly enlarged heel-bearing area and is generally put on the leading feet with a rolled toe. Recently, egg bar shoes have now been equipped to hind feet, whilst the prolonged heel area gives support to horses with hock problems. The shoe incorporates a move foot and is safed off at the heel.
